US Highway 69 is just over 80 miles long and heads northwest over Long Saddle Pass and Promontory Divide Pass and ends at the Texas Creek junction where we picked up the U.S. Highway 50 between Cañon City and Salida.
What i remember about this highway though are the wide plains and the wind that blowed from the mountains on our left.
