Riding the 50, CO

Route 50 enters Colorado from Kansas on the high plains. It climbs the Rocky Mountains next to the Arkansas River and reaches the Continental Divide at Monarch Pass. In western Colorado, it crosses the Colorado River at Grand Junction, where we joined it from the 69, CO.

There are a total of 465 diverse miles from Kansas to Utah.

It is a beautiful road to ride and we rode part of it today and we will be riding more of it tomorrow.

What I mainly remember of riding the Route 50 is the difference of temperatures by the valleys and then up in Monarch Pass.
