Visit to Capulin Volcano, NM

The Capulin Volcano in New Mexico is just outside Raton, NM and has been the Sentinel of the Plains for 60,000 years. Born of fire and forces continually reshaping the earth’s surface, Capulin Volcano provides access to nature’s most awe-inspiring work.

We went to visit it as we wanted to ride up a road that goes around the mountain and we can see a dramatic landscape—a unique place of mountains, plains, and sky.

At the top we had an amazing view of the surrounding area.

After enjoying the view, we then rode back to Raton, NM for our evening.
