After Trinidad, CO we rode the 12, CO (Highway of Legends) that has a length of 82 miles.
It first goes through the Trinidad Lake State Park.
The 12, CO is sinuous and very scenic and the views of the snow peaked mountains become closer and closer.
We also took some time to stop at Monument Lake.
The 12, CO takes about 2 hours to complete and it is a highly recommended scenic byway.
